A casual shirt is the easiest way to look put-together without dressing formally, whether it's a weekend lunch, a family visit or a relaxed Friday at work. In Pakistan's heat, though, the wrong fabric or fit quickly becomes uncomfortable. This guide covers how to choose casual shirts for men: the collar and fit, the fabric, the sleeve length and the size.

1. Choose the collar and fit

Camp and Cuban collar shirts are designed to be worn untucked. If you want a shirt you can tuck in for work, choose a button-down.
2. Pick the fabric for the season
- Linen and linen blends are the coolest choice for summer. They breathe well and feel light, though they crease easily. Our Men's Relaxed Linen Blend Casual Shirt is linen-cotton, and the Men's Awning Stripe Casual Shirt is a cotton-linen blend.
- Cotton is soft, breathable and easy to care for, so it works most of the year. The Men's Plain Cuban Collar Shirt is 100% cotton.

3. Check, stripe, print or plain?

4. Half sleeve or full sleeve?
Half sleeve shirts are the practical choice for most of the year in Pakistan, especially camp and Cuban collar styles. Full sleeve shirts look smarter and can be rolled up on warm days, which makes a full sleeve linen or cotton shirt a good all-rounder for work and evenings.
5. Get the size right
The easiest way to choose a size online is to compare with a shirt you already own and like.
- Lay the shirt flat on a table and button it up.
- Chest: measure straight across, just below the armpits.
- Length: measure from the top of the shoulder at the collar down to the hem.
- Compare both numbers with the size guide on the product page of the style you want.
- Relaxed and boxy camp collar shirts are cut with extra room, so take your usual size.
- If you plan to tuck the shirt in, check the length carefully.
- Linen softens and relaxes slightly with wear.

6. Make them last

- Wash at 30°C or lower, by machine or by hand, on a gentle cycle.
- Avoid drying in direct sunlight.
- Don't use bleach.
- Don't iron directly on prints or embroidery.
